Symptom
Monogram oven not heating
An oven that responds to the controls and produces no heat. On a dual-fuel range this affects the electric oven while every gas burner keeps working perfectly, which confuses people into thinking half the appliance is fine. It is.

Six ordinary causes
What this usually turns out to be
Cheapest and commonest first, which is also the order we check them in. They sit hundreds of dollars apart, and only the unit settles which one is yours.
-
A failed element
Measurable, inexpensive, and often visible as a blister or a break.
Oven element replacement from $185 -
A burnt terminal block
Common on ovens that have run hot for years, and replacing only the element leaves the cause in place.
Oven element replacement from $185 -
The temperature sensor
F3 and F4 name this circuit directly.
Temperature sensor replacement from $165 -
Half the supply
A double-pole breaker with one leg tripped. The display works and the heat does not.
Diagnostic visit from $95 -
The igniter on a gas oven
Weak igniters glow and never draw enough current to open the valve.
Surface igniter replacement from $175 -
The control
F5 and F8 point here, and it is condemned by measurement rather than by the code alone.
Appliance control board repair from $295

01
Try every cooking mode
Bake, broil, convection. Which fails is most of the diagnosis.
-
02
Read the display
An F code narrows this page to one paragraph.
-
03
Check the breaker
Reset it fully — off, then on — rather than glancing at it.

04
On a gas oven, look for the glow
An igniter that glows orange rather than white-hot is weak, and weak is the same as failed here.

Narrow it down before anybody arrives
A description of the behaviour leaves a few possible causes. A code names the subsystem before anybody opens anything, which is why it is worth photographing before it clears.

About Monogram oven not heating
Which cooking mode fails
Try bake, then broil, then convection if the oven has it. If one works and another does not, the element for the one that fails is the suspect and the control is probably fine. If nothing at all heats, look at the supply — a double-pole breaker with one side tripped gives an electric oven half of what it needs, and the display carries on working.
What it usually means, by the kind of Monogram appliance
Monogram sells one appliance in several forms, and the same behavior points at different things on each of them. A built-in side-by-side and an integrated column are not the same service situation, and a dual-fuel range and an induction range fail in different halves.
- Dual-fuel professional ranges — The oven is electric and the top is gas. A dead oven with a perfect cooktop is normal for this failure and tells you which half to look at.
- All-gas professional ranges — No element at all — the oven burner, its igniter and the gas valve are the equivalent list, and a weak igniter that will not pull enough current to open the valve is the classic.
- Wall ovens — Bake element, broil element, convection element on the models that have one, and a control that decides between them. Which cooking mode fails narrows it immediately.
Two ovens, two different lists
Monogram's dual-fuel ranges put a gas top over an electric oven, and the all-gas ranges use a gas oven burner. The complaint is identical and the parts are nothing like each other. That is why the model number is the first thing we ask for on this call — it decides whether we are bringing an element or an igniter.

Questions about monogram oven not heating
The burners work so the gas is fine.
On a dual-fuel range the burners tell you nothing about the oven, because the oven is electric. On an all-gas range they tell you the supply is there, which is genuinely useful.
It heats but not to temperature.
That is a different page — calibration, the sensor, or an element working partially. This page is about no heat at all.
