What it starts from, and what actually moves the number.

Two things push these figures where they sit and both are properties of the equipment. Built-in access is real work: panels, trim and front service take time that pulling a freestanding cabinet out does not. And the repair-or-replace line falls far later here than on a mass-market catalog, which is why a sealed system repair is usually worth doing on one of these cabinets and often is not on a freestanding one.

Start from the job

Every priced job, and what changes the figure

Each page lists the five things that actually move that number on this equipment. None of them is a surcharge and none of them is a surprise.

  • Diagnostic visit cost

One figure, credited against the repair, and the only number on this site that is not an estimate. It buys a measured answer rather than a guess, and on built-in equipment it also buys a plan for getting at the appliance without damaging the kitchen around it.

    • from $95, credited toward the repair
    • A measurement, not an opinion
    • The scope and the figure in writing before anything is opened
    What moves this figure
  • Panel alignment and door adjustment cost

The cheapest visit on this list that prevents an expensive one. A door carrying a heavy custom panel settles over years, the seal stops meeting the cabinet along its top edge, and the defrost circuit inherits work it was never sized for.

    • from $145, usually with no parts at all
    • One visit can cover several doors in a run
    • Prevents the defrost calls that follow
    What moves this figure
  • Appliance maintenance cost

One visit across the whole kitchen, priced as a visit rather than per appliance, because the two things that matter most here — condensers and door seals — are quicker to do together than to do one at a time.

    • from $145 for the kitchen, not per appliance
    • Condensers, seals, filters, drains and ventilation
    • Ends in a written state of the kitchen with figures
    What moves this figure
  • Appliance installation cost

Built-in appliances are installed once and lived with for two decades. The figure covers reading the specification against the opening before anything is lifted — which is the step that is skipped, and the step that produces the calls we take ten years later.

    • from $175, and it depends on the opening
    • Services, ventilation and drainage before the appliance
    • Panels hung and doors set to the run
    What moves this figure
  • Refrigerator not cooling repair cost

The widest band on the site, because four different repairs live under one complaint. Most of these end at airflow, defrost or a fan, all of which are in the lower half. The sealed system is a different order of money and it has a page of its own.

    • from $175, with the free causes ruled out first
    • Airflow and defrost are most of these calls
    • Sealed system work quoted separately
    What moves this figure
  • Column refrigeration repair cost

Integrated columns cost more to work on than any other cold appliance in the kitchen, and the difference is access rather than parts. Panels and trim come off in an order, the machine is served from the front, and the kitchen goes back the way the cabinetmaker left it.

    • from $195, and the access is most of the difference
    • Paired columns are quoted as two machines
    • Panels and trim handled as part of the job
    What moves this figure
  • Defrost system repair cost

A defined repair with a narrow band: a heater, the sensor or thermostat that permits it, and the control that calls for it. What widens the figure is the ice already in the cabinet and whether the door is what caused all of it.

    • from $195 for a defined circuit
    • The door checked before parts are ordered
    • Clearing the evaporator is part of the job
    What moves this figure
  • Sealed system repair cost

The largest repair on a cold appliance, and the one where the figure has to be honest before the work rather than after. On a five-figure integrated cabinet it is usually still the right decision — which is genuinely not true of every make.

    • from $695, quoted in writing before starting
    • Reached by measurement, never by elimination
    • Honest about when a cabinet is not worth it
    What moves this figure
  • Condenser cleaning cost

The least expensive service here and the one with the best return, because a starved condenser shortens compressor life and a compressor is the top of the price list.

    • from $135 for every cold appliance in the kitchen
    • Nothing on a display ever reports this
    • Measured before and after
    What moves this figure
  • Temperature sensor replacement cost

A narrow, well-defined band, because the part is measurable and inexpensive on both the cold and the cooking side. What widens it is where the sensor lives and how much has to move to reach it.

    • from $165 for a measurable part
    • F3 and F4 name this circuit directly
    • The harness checked with it
    What moves this figure
  • Door seal replacement cost

A wear part with a wide band, because the gasket is rarely the whole job. On integrated cabinetry the door, the hinge and the panel are checked with it, and quite often the repair turns out to be an adjustment with no part at all.

    • from $165, and sometimes no part is needed
    • Model-specific gaskets, because a near-fit does not seal
    • The door checked before the seal is ordered
    What moves this figure
  • Undercounter refrigeration repair cost

A moderate band with an unusual amount of it decided by the installation rather than the appliance. These cabinets breathe through a grille a few inches tall, and they are often asked to work somewhere warmer than a kitchen.

    • from $175, and ventilation is part of the diagnosis
    • Ambient measured where the unit actually lives
    • Cleaning and clearance resolve a real share of these
    What moves this figure
  • Wine cabinet temperature service cost

Priced above ordinary refrigeration because the diagnosis takes longer: the appliance is being asked to hold rather than to cool, and holding is proved over time rather than in a measurement.

    • from $185, with the behavior logged rather than sampled
    • Zones measured at the shelf, not read off the display
    • Vibration and door heaters included
    What moves this figure
  • Ice maker repair cost

A moderate band, and an unusual number of these end without a part at all — because a module in a cabinet that has drifted warm is not a broken module, and a supply valve silted closed is not a broken ice maker.

    • from $175, with the cabinet checked first
    • Water supply proved before the module
    • CI is a starting point, not a diagnosis
    What moves this figure
  • Ice machine descaling cost

A scheduled service rather than a repair, and it restores output that most owners assume is gone for good. The figure covers the water circuit, the bin and the filter, with production measured either side.

    • from $175, with production measured before and after
    • Manufacturer's procedure, not vinegar
    • Bin and chute sanitized as part of it
    What moves this figure
  • Ice maker drain and pump service cost

A modest figure for the most common undercounter finding in this climate: water that is not leaving. It is worth dealing with early, because standing water in a warm cabinet turns into a hygiene job on top of a repair.

    • from $155 for the drain path and the pump
    • Line, fall and check valve all inspected
    • Bin sanitized as part of the visit
    What moves this figure
  • Water dispenser and filter service cost

The lowest figure on the page for a reason: on local water the filter is the first suspect and very often the only one, and we would rather you ruled it out for the price of a cartridge before booking anything.

    • from $125, and often it is only the filter
    • Supply pressure measured at the appliance
    • A frozen supply line is a temperature problem
    What moves this figure
  • Dishwasher drain repair cost

The most common dishwasher call, and one where a real share of the answers cost nothing: a filter that has never been removed, an air gap that is blocked, or a disposal knockout plug left in at installation.

    • from $155, with the free causes first
    • The C code read before anything is opened
    • The disposal knockout is a genuine cause
    What moves this figure
  • Dishwasher pump replacement cost

A defined repair with the appliance out of the run. On a fully integrated machine the custom panel and the cabinetry are part of the job, and the floor in these kitchens is usually the expensive part of the room.

    • from $265 with the machine out and back
    • Wash pump and drain pump are different parts
    • Only after the drain path is proved clear
    What moves this figure
  • Dishwasher wash performance service cost

A modest figure to recover performance that most owners assume they have lost permanently. On local water, scale in the spray arms and a filter left in for two years account for most of it.

    • from $135, and it is mostly descaling and cleaning
    • Inlet temperature measured, not assumed
    • Detergent and rinse aid set for local water
    What moves this figure
  • Dishwasher door latch repair cost

A modest, well-defined repair that is usually cheaper than the leak it prevents. The latch is what fails; the door balance is usually why, and on a panel-ready machine the panel weight is part of the diagnosis.

    • from $145 for the latch and the balance together
    • Panel weight is part of the problem
    • Prevents the slow leak underneath
    What moves this figure
  • Oven element replacement cost

A defined repair with an unambiguous diagnosis: the element measures within specification or it does not. The band moves with the appliance and with whether the terminals went with it.

    • from $185 for a measurable part
    • Terminals and harness checked with it
    • Calibration verified afterwards
    What moves this figure
  • Oven calibration service cost

The least expensive of the oven jobs and frequently the right one. An oven that is steadily out by 25 or 30 degrees does not need a part; it needs the offset these ovens already have.

    • from $155, often with no part at all
    • Measured at two temperatures after a full preheat
    • F3 and F4 are a different conversation
    What moves this figure
  • Oven door lock repair cost

A motorized assembly reported by F9 and FC, and a repair where a real share of the calls end with the honest answer that the cavity is not cool enough yet. When it is genuinely the latch, it is a defined part.

    • from $195 for the latch assembly
    • F9 and FC name this circuit
    • Never forced, because forcing costs far more
    What moves this figure
  • Advantium speed oven repair cost

A wider band than an ordinary oven, because there are two versions of this appliance with different power delivery, different parts and different code tables — and because the high voltage side is skilled work.

    • from $245, and the version decides a great deal
    • Halogen lamps are a serviceable part
    • High voltage work is never a home repair
    What moves this figure
  • Warming drawer repair cost

A simple appliance and a narrow band. The element, the thermostat and the control are all modest parts, and the runners and the seal are as often the cause as any of them.

    • from $165 for a simple appliance
    • Runners and seal checked with the element
    • Humidity setting tested as well as heat
    What moves this figure
  • Hearth oven service cost

The newest appliance in the kitchen and the one where parts lead time is a genuine part of the quote. The figure covers a high-heat appliance where seals, elements and sensing all take more punishment than anywhere else in the house.

    • from $245 for a high-heat appliance
    • Stone replacement is a part, not a write-off
    • Parts availability discussed before you commit
    What moves this figure
  • Surface igniter replacement cost

A defined burner repair, and one where the free check comes first: a cap that has gone back a fraction off its seat will spark forever and never light, and that costs nothing to correct.

    • from $175, after the free check
    • Cap seating resolves a real share of these
    • Continuous clicking is usually moisture
    What moves this figure
  • Gas burner and valve service cost

A service rather than a replacement in most cases. Professional burners are properly serviceable — caps, rings, ports and the valve behind the knob — and years of boil-over do more to them than age does.

    • from $195, and it is usually service not parts
    • Simmer performance set properly
    • Air adjustment corrected where the flame is yellow
    What moves this figure
  • Griddle and grill repair cost

The hardest-used sections of a professional range, and their own repair with their own parts. The figure includes checking the ventilation above them, because on an indoor grill the hood is part of the appliance whether it is on the invoice or not.

    • from $205 for a section, not a whole range
    • Grease management included
    • The hood over it checked at the same time
    What moves this figure
  • Induction cooktop repair cost

The highest of the cooking bands, because the parts are electronic and the diagnosis has to provoke a thermal problem rather than observe a mechanical one. It also has the cheapest possible outcome: a pan that is not magnetic.

    • from $265, and modules are the expensive part
    • Cookware ruled out in five seconds for nothing
    • One zone and one side are different repairs
    What moves this figure
  • Microwave drawer mechanism repair cost

A mechanism repair rather than a cooking repair, and priced accordingly. Three complaints — will not open, opens partway, opens and will not run — with three different places to look.

    • from $195 for the drive and the sensing
    • Obstruction ruled out for nothing
    • Separate from anything on the cooking side
    What moves this figure
  • Range hood blower and light repair cost

A moderate band with a free test at the front of it: on hoods with air quality sensors, automatic mode can hold the fan off, and that reads exactly like a dead blower.

    • from $155 for blower or lighting
    • Automatic mode ruled out first, for nothing
    • Capacitors are the cheap end of a dead fan
    What moves this figure
  • Range hood airflow service cost

A service visit for the appliance most likely to be failing quietly. Airflow is measured rather than judged, and a real share of what is lost is recovered without touching the appliance at all.

    • from $175, with airflow measured before and after
    • Filters, duct and termination all inspected
    • Make-up air treated as a real cause
    What moves this figure
  • Control board repair cost

The largest of the electronic repairs and the most over-diagnosed one. Boards are condemned here by measurement, because most of what gets called a board failure is a sensor, a harness or a connector that has corroded in coastal air.

    • from $295, and only after the inputs are tested
    • Connectors are the usual real cause here
    • Availability checked before anything is promised
    What moves this figure

Why these figures are not the market average

Built-in access is work, and it is priced as work

A freestanding appliance is pulled out. A built-in one is not. Panels, trim and sometimes a neighboring cabinet come off in an order and go back the same way, and on integrated cabinetry the joinery is part of the value of the room. We price that time openly rather than burying it in a parts markup, which is why several figures here sit above the same job on our mass-market sibling sites.

How we work
A pair of gloved hands lifting a lower grille panel away from the base of a tall built-in refrigerator in a dark kitchen, the panel held at an angle, warm low light and deep shadow.

The honest answer is different on this make

Repair-or-replace falls much later here

On a freestanding refrigerator a sealed system repair can approach the price of the appliance, and the honest answer is often to replace it. On a five-figure integrated column fitted into cabinetry that was cut for it, replacement is a kitchen project rather than a delivery, and the same repair is sound economics. We will still put the numbers side by side rather than assume — but on this catalog the answer is more often repair than it is anywhere else in this fleet.

Before you book

Three minutes that change the visit

The model number, off the plate

  • Refrigeration: inside the fresh-food compartment, usually on the left wall.
  • Dishwasher: on the tub edge, behind the door.
  • Ranges and wall ovens: on the frame behind the door, and on some ranges behind the bottom drawer.
  • Photograph it. These numbers are long and one wrong character sends us to the wrong parts list.

Whatever the appliance is showing

  • On the fully integrated dishwasher the display is on the TOP EDGE of the door. Open the door and look — most owners have never seen it.
  • Case matters on refrigeration: DE is demonstration mode and dE is the defrost system.
  • tC, tF, LOC and OFF are not errors at all, and our archive says which is which.

How the appliance is installed

  • Built-in, integrated column, undercounter or free-standing.
  • Panel-ready or stainless — it decides how the door comes apart.
  • Whether two tall doors are one appliance or two columns. That one answer changes the whole visit.

Start from the appliance

What it costs depends on which of these it is

A figure moves as much with the machine as with the job. The same sealed system repair is sound economics on a five-figure integrated column and a different conversation on an undercounter beverage center, and the same door adjustment is an hour on a stainless door and a planned disassembly on a panel-ready one.

  • Two tall panel-ready integrated refrigeration columns side by side in a dark kitchen, floor to ceiling, flush with the cabinetry either side so nothing marks them out as appliances.

    Refrigerators

Monogram refrigeration is built in, and on this make that is not a styling word — it is what the repair has to work around. A 48-inch side-by-side is bolted into cabinetry, a column is flush with the run and carries a custom door panel, and the machinery is reached from the front because there is no behind. The failures are ordinary refrigeration failures. Getting to them, and putting the kitchen back the way the cabinetmaker left it, is the part that takes the skill.

    • Built-in and panel-ready models are serviced from the front
    • Door panels and alignment are part of the job, not an extra
    • Sealed-system work is measured, never guessed at
    Refrigerator repair
  • A tall integrated freezer column standing open in a dark kitchen, showing stacked wire baskets of frozen food and pale cold light spilling out against the warm room.
    18, 24, 30 and 36-inch integrated columns · panel-ready

    Freezers

A Monogram freezer is a column: one cabinet, one temperature, flush with the cabinetry and usually standing beside a refrigerator column that looks identical from the front. That pairing is where most calls start, because when one of the two stops behaving the other is still perfect, and the two cabinets have separate machinery, separate sensors and separate problems.

    • All-freezer columns in 18, 24, 30 and 36 inches
    • Paired columns are two machines, not one
    • Ice build-up is a defrost question before it is a door question

  • A built-in wine column with a dark glass door in dark cabinetry, bottles lying on wooden shelves behind the glass and lit softly from inside.
    24-inch wine column · 30-inch wine sommelier · panel-ready wine reserve

    Wine storage

Wine storage is the appliance where a small problem is an expensive one, because the damage happens to the contents rather than to the machine. A cabinet that has drifted four degrees or lost its humidity will look and sound completely normal for months. Monogram's wine storage runs from a 24-inch panel-ready reserve up to a 30-inch fully-integrated sommelier cabinet, and all of it is built in.

    • 24-inch wine columns and reserves, and a 30-inch sommelier cabinet
    • Temperature stability matters more than the number itself
    • Vibration and light are part of the diagnosis
    Wine cooler repair
  • A 24-inch undercounter beverage cabinet built into a dark bar run, door slightly open, showing glass shelves with unlabeled bottles and cans.
24-inch panel-ready beverage centers · bar refrigerators with ice makers

    Beverage centers

The undercounter appliance that works hardest and gets thought about least. A beverage center in a South Florida house is opened dozens of times a day, often sits in a bar or a covered outdoor kitchen rather than in the conditioned part of the house, and is expected to hold temperature through all of it. Monogram builds these as 24-inch panel-ready units, some with an ice maker inside.

    • 24-inch panel-ready beverage centers and bar refrigerators
    • Ambient temperature is part of the problem, not an excuse
    • Units with an ice maker inside have two things to check
    Beverage center repair
  • A 15-inch undercounter ice machine set into a dark bar run with its door open, showing a bin of clear ice cubes lit from above.
15-inch undercounter clear ice and nugget ice · in-cabinet ice makers

    Ice makers

A dedicated ice maker is a small refrigeration plant with a water circuit running through it, and in Miami the water circuit is what fails. Monogram kitchens take 15-inch undercounter units — clear ice and nugget ice — alongside the ice makers built into refrigerators and bar cabinets, and the two kinds fail in completely different ways.

    • 15-inch undercounter clear-ice and nugget-ice machines
    • Local water is hard on every part of the water circuit
    • A drain that does not drain is the commonest undercounter problem
    Ice maker repair
  • A fully integrated dishwasher in a dark kitchen with its door standing open at forty-five degrees, showing a stainless tub and loaded racks, the top edge of the door facing upward toward the camera.
    24-inch fully integrated · panel-ready and stainless

    Dishwashers

Monogram's dishwasher line is short and consistent: 24-inch fully integrated machines, panel-ready or stainless, with the controls hidden on the top edge of the door. That hidden control panel is the reason most owners never see the code their machine is showing — it is displayed while the door is open, which is exactly when nobody is looking.

    • 24-inch fully integrated, panel-ready or stainless
    • The C-code family is displayed on the top edge of the door
    • Drainage is the largest single category of call
    Dishwasher repair
  • A 48-inch professional stainless range in a dark kitchen with six burners on the left and a smooth griddle plate on the right, heavy brass-toned knobs along the front.
    30, 36 and 48-inch · dual-fuel, all-gas and induction

    Professional ranges

Monogram does not make an ordinary range. The line is professional: 30, 36 and 48 inches, dual-fuel with a gas top over an electric oven, all-gas throughout, or induction — with griddles and grills on the wider models. A 48-inch dual-fuel range is a gas appliance, an electric appliance and a ventilation problem in one piece of steel, and the diagnosis starts by working out which of the three is talking.

    • Dual-fuel, all-gas and induction, 30 to 48 inches
    • Griddle and grill sections are their own repair
    • The F-code family covers the oven side, not the burners
    Range repair

What we will not do

No final price is published anywhere on this site

Every figure here is a floor. Nobody can name the exact cost of a repair before somebody has measured something at the appliance, and a site that publishes a firm number is either guessing or building in room to be wrong. The diagnostic produces a written scope and a written figure, agreed with you, before anything is opened.

Before you call

Questions we are asked about the work

Is the diagnostic fee credited?

Yes. It begins at $95 and comes off the repair if you go ahead.

Why are some of these higher than other repair sites quote?

Because built-in access is time and we price it rather than hiding it, and because lower-volume parts are not always stocked. Where a figure here is higher than a mass-market equivalent, the page says why in as many words.

Will you tell me if it is not worth repairing?

Yes, on the visit, and we would rather lose the job than take it on those terms. On this equipment that answer comes up less often than on most makes, but it does come up.

Where do these numbers come from?

They are a researched market band for South Florida — what the same part and the same labor go for here, narrowed by what the part actually is on this equipment. They are not an average of our invoices and we do not present them as one.

In more detail

How to read a figure on this site

Every number is a floor

It is what that job starts from on this equipment in this market, not what yours will cost. The exact cost is confirmed after the on-site diagnostic and agreed in writing before a panel comes off. That is not a hedge; it is the only honest way to price work nobody has looked at yet.

What moves it, in order

What has actually failed. Whether the part is a stocked item or an order. How the appliance is installed and therefore what has to come off to reach it. Whether one visit or two are needed. And on refrigeration, whether the diagnosis stops at airflow or reaches the sealed system, which is the widest single split on this site.

What is deliberately absent

Any final price, any figure without a written reason behind it, and any laundry job, because Monogram makes no laundry.

The model number, and a sentence about what it is doing.

Add a photograph of anything on the display. That is usually enough for us to name the likely part and the band it falls in before anybody leaves the house.
