Open the door and read the display
Before you do anything else. On a fully integrated dishwasher the code is on the top edge of the door and it narrows the job immediately — C1 is the drain taking too long, C3 is no drain at all, C5 is a drain that finished suspiciously fast. Then take out the filter in the floor of the tub. It unscrews by hand and it resolves a good share of these calls.
What it usually means, by the kind of Monogram appliance
Monogram sells one appliance in several forms, and the same behavior points at different things on each of them. A built-in side-by-side and an integrated column are not the same service situation, and a dual-fuel range and an induction range fail in different halves.
- Fully integrated machines — The control panel is on the top edge of the door. A machine that has stopped mid-cycle looks like a cabinet door to the room, and the code that would explain it is there where nobody looks.
- Machines with Floor Protect — These cancel a cycle and show LEAK DETECTED or 999 rather than simply failing to drain, which is a different and more urgent conversation.
- Panel-ready doors — If the machine has to come out of the run for a pump or a hose, the panel is part of the job.
