### Log it for two days before anybody comes out

Photograph the display a few times a day for two days, and put a thermometer on a middle shelf as well. The pattern of the swing is what names the cause — a cabinet that drifts up every afternoon is telling you about the room, and one that saws up and down every hour is telling you about itself. A single reading tells us almost nothing.

### What it usually means, by the kind of Monogram appliance

Monogram sells one appliance in several forms, and the same behavior points at different things on each of them. A built-in side-by-side and an integrated column are not the same service situation, and a dual-fuel range and an induction range fail in different halves.

- **Integrated wine columns** — Larger cabinets, often dual-zone, and installed in the kitchen run where ambient is stable. Here a swing usually points at a sensor, a fan or a damper.
- **Undercounter wine reserves** — Usually installed in a bar area that is only cooled when somebody is standing in it, so ambient itself is the swing.
- **Cabinets with glass doors** — Add the door heater, which keeps condensation off the inside of the glass and, when it fails, changes what the cabinet has to do.
